What does it mean when an account is dormant and what are the fees?
Accounts are considered dormant after a period of 12 months with no activity. When an account remains dormant with no activity for a period of 24 months, a $5 fee is charged per quarter. The Credit Union generates letters advising members their account is in a dormant status and they have 30 days to make a monetary transaction or the account will be charged a $5 fee per quarter.
Does the Credit Union offer Notary Services?
Yes, this service is free to all members of Florida Telco Credit Union.
Why doesn't Florida Telco accept third party checks?
Third Party Checks are defined as checks that are not made out to you, our member, but rather another party who has “endorsed” the check to you. The Credit Union does not accept these checks as verifying signatures and funds is difficult and time-consuming. This policy protects both the Credit Union and our members from fraud.
Why are we unable to use cell phones in the branch?

The use of cell phones can interfere with our computer equipment; please finish any calls before approaching the teller line.
Why is there a No Hats, Hoods or Sunglasses policy?
Florida Telco adopted a “No Hats, Hoods or Sunglasses” program in order to prevent robberies and identity fraud. According to the FBI, robbers and those attempting to commit fraud often wear hats, hoods and sunglasses to disguise their features. By asking members to remove these items before entering the Credit Union, it makes it easier to identify suspects and discourages them from targeting the Credit Union. The Credit Union recognizes that members may have legitimate physical or religious reasons for head-covering or sunglasses. However, members are encouraged to cooperate with the increased security measure for the protection of everyone.
